The Alpha’s Pack is the thrilling conclusion to Kit's story. She is one of my all time favorites. I love her sassy, coffee-drinking, foul-mouthed, irreverent self. She's still that damaged little thief we met in book one who loved her sister and was grateful to her guardian but now she's so much more. She's a fierce, ass-kicking, magic-wielding warrior. She's a Ban Dai capable of more magic than any other paranormal in existence. She's a woman in love, trusting and comfortable with her dianoch in every situation. Her dianoch is one of the most perfect groups of men ever assembled. River, Wes, Austin, Caleb, Cole, and Vali are so unbelievably hot and sexy they can only exist on the pages of a book. Their love and loyalty for Kit make them even more irresistible. The level of sexiness in this book is unmatched. There are so many seriously hot scenes in every combination you could want. I found myself jealous of Kit! I actually want to do laundry now!!

The attention to detail was absolute. Every small facet of pre-war preparations, the battle, and its outcome were planned perfectly. There are surprises thrown in from beginning to end to keep the reader completely captivated. Then there's the epilogue. Perfect doesn't even begin to adequately describe how fitting it is. I can't imagine it any other way. Thank you, Tate James, for one of the most enjoyable RH series on the market. I will miss these characters but I know I can revisit them any time I want to and I know you have more wonderful books waiting to be written.

I cannot believe that this series is over. I remember reading the first book. Of staying up all night long and losing sleep over it. I think my phone fell on the bed because I didn't want to put the book down and I kept falling asleep. This series is definitely one of my top 5 series of books that I've ever read.

I've felt this way about each book that came out. I've laughed, I've cried, I've screamed, I've hurt. And, I've loved every book that has come out.

I loved learning about Kit and her past. I loved learning about all of her guys and grateful that we could go on this ride together.

Some of my favorites from this series

~Kit looking at her cheeseburger and telling it that she loves it and the guys not knowing if she was talking to the burger or them.
~Kit throwing a book and hitting Vali in the back of the head.
~Austin tattooing Kit and their banter and him "marking" her.
~Ssssssam and his snarky attitude. Damn, I love him
~Vali & Cole and their relationship.
~Lucy and her nosiness into Kit and her guys.
~Caleb and their cuddle sessions.
~River... yes, sir.
~Wesley and his nerdiness.
~Cole... I want him. Screw Kit!

This book was so action packed and I loved it. I loved seeing scary Kit and then crawling back into sane Kit again. River learning about himself and becoming one with his beast. I loved the decisions that Kit made even if I disagreed with some of them.

This ride is over. But I've become a true fan of Ms. James and I can't wait to read more from her. I love that I have 6 books that I can go back and reread them. This is definitely a series that I will do that. Again and Again.
Don't get me wrong- I enjoyed The Alpha's Pack (especially because there are some MOMENTS with one of my favorites), but how is this the last book?

The Alpha's Pack jumps into the aftermath of Lucy's death, and Kit is NOT in a good place. Unfortunately, she and River have a bit of a "dark Willow" (any Buffy fans?) type of thing going on. Honestly, I was not surprised by this. I didn't enjoy seeing Kit fighting against her humanity because I think that generally she has a pretty strong moral compass, but she was just hit with SO MUCH grief in the last two books, and we saw how well she handled that with Wes. It made a lot of sense that she would go a bit off the rails.

Alpha's Pack takes us through Kit's darkness and into the team's prep to stand against Bridget (who is just such a hateful b*tch). The discovery of a new tool/weapon to help fight Bridget takes the team to a few new locations to get what they need. I wish this part had been slowed down a bit more; in their quest to complete this weapon, we get to meet some interesting new characters and have some glimpses into the world of the dragons, wolves, and badbhs. There are so many more questions that I have about each of these groups, but I feel like I only got a taste of their worlds.

With all of the build-up and drama about how to defeat Bridget, I thought the battle actually passed a little quickly, but I DID like the bittersweet surprise that James packed into the aftermath of the battle. I say bittersweet because I thought it was a brilliant idea, but it OPENS THE DOOR FOR MORE QUESTIONS/ACTION.

Okay, enough grumbling. There are some beautiful, funny, meaningful, and frustrating moments between Kit and her guys. As you'd probably guess by the title, there's some great progress with River, but I think that we also continue to see Vali shine. When he first came into the series, I wasn't expecting too much from him. However, I've been pleasantly surprised, time and again, by the way that he empathizes with Kit. He really does have a way with her, a connection and understanding, that lets him get to her in moments when the others don't seem to know what to say. That's a quality that I really like about Austin too.

Overall, I really can't complain. Tate James did a great job of progressing the team's relationships (with each other and Kit), wrapping up Bridget's story-line in a believable way, and giving us enough romance and steam to obsess over. I just want more, d*mnit!
